Now Is the Age of Judgment Between Life and Death *Dojeon 2:40

1 Commenting upon a saying passed down through generations—‘For every one hundred ancestors, only one descendant survives’—Sangjenim declared,

2 “When the autumn wind blows, leaves fall and fruit ripens.

3 Now is the age of judgment between life and death.”

The Coming Catastrophes of the World
4 One day, a disciple asked Sangjenim, “There is a saying, ‘People do not know that the coming catastrophes of the world are due to the spirits’ creation-transformation.’ Is this saying indeed true?”
5 Sangjenim revealed, “Even the gaebyeok of heaven and earth cannot be accomplished without the spirits, for no undertaking can be realized without the participation of the spirits.

6 My world shall be the world of creation-transformation, for it shall be the world in which spirits and humans become one.”
7 Sangjenim also declared, “My work shall be accomplished through the union of humans and spirits.”

Heaven and earth perpetually repeat the process of giving life in spring and taking life in autumn. Giving life in spring, taking life in autumn! Giving life, taking life! Heaven and earth labor to bring this to pass, never resting for a single second, never for a single moment.

The Autumn Gaebyeok does not signify that people will slay each other. Rather, heaven and earth will strike down humanity in accordance with the principle of ‘giving life in spring and taking life in autumn.’ This is akin to the way that the frost and snow of the earth year’s autumn desiccate vegetation without the sparing of even a blade of grass.

When the Autumn Gaebyeok occurs, only the seeds of those who should live will survive, while multitudes of human beings shall perish like falling leaves. This is a major characteristic of the Autumn Gaebyeok. Although humans are born in cosmic spring and are raised throughout cosmic summer, the growth process is abruptly brought to a halt in cosmic autumn. Just as the heavy frost of a single autumn morning kills grass at a single stroke, in autumn the autumn energy takes away many lives in a single stroke.

The Path to Spreading the Teachings Will Unfold

The Path to Spreading the Teachings Will Unfold *Dojeon 11:239

3 Taemonim one day instructed Yun-hwa, “You must awaken to the origin of Immortalism, Buddhism, and Confucianism; faithfully practice meditation; and illuminate for all the forthcoming path of the Supreme Dao of Mugeuk. Thereafter, the path to spreading the teachings will unfold.”
4 Taemonim also declared, “There are presently many teachings, but the Later Heaven shall have but one tree with one root.”

Jeung San Do will end the problems that existed throughout the Early Heaven’s history and open the new world. Briefly, in other words, Jeung San Do is the bridge of life that connects the world of the cosmic spring and summer to the world of the cosmic autumn and winter.

The existing cultures of the Early Heaven are imperfect and biased. Such being the case, only their positive characteristics, throughout history, will be selected and united into one, hence producing Sangjenim’s unified culture of fruition.

This precept of the culture of fruition may sound similar to Confucianism, but it is not Confucianism; it is similar to Buddhism, but is not Buddhism; it is similar to Immortalism, but is not Immortalism. Sangjenim’s culture shall be created by extracting and gathering all the essences of the Early Heaven’s cultures throughout history and unifying them.

The Disease Shall Cull the World’s People

The Disease Shall Cull the World’s People *Dojeon 2:119

1 “In the future, the world shall be swept by a disease.

2 All who have iniquitous minds will die, for the disease shall cull the world’s people.”

The Taeeulju Mantra Shall Deliver the World’s People
3 “The Taeeulju Mantra shall deliver the world’s people.

4 The disease shall be conquered only by the Taeeulju Mantra.
5 “The Taeeulju Mantra is a mantra of creation-transformation that expels the demon of disease and thus defeats all diseases.

6 The Taeeulju Mantra heals all illnesses; the Taeeulju Mantra is the wish-fulfilling jewel.

7 The Taeeulju Mantra delivers humanity and spreads the teachings across the world. Therefore, chant the Taeeulju Mantra countless times.
8 “The Taeeulju Mantra is the mantra for storing water qi.

9 The Taeeulju Mantra is the milk of the mother—the milk of heaven and earth—so those who do not chant the Taeeulju Mantra will all die.
10 “The Taeeulju Mantra is the yullyeo of the universe.”

In the end, the world will be judged by the mysterious disease. Perhaps I should not say this, but people will die while coming or going, people will die while standing, people will die while eating. Such a mysterious disease will occur. About the magnitude of how the disease will spread, Sangjenim said, “It will come like a torrent.” It will turn the world upside down for three years.

Then, why will there be such a disease? It will happen because during this past cosmic spring and summer, humans accumulated too much bitterness and grief. In the process of resolving the iniquities of the past, an abscess of festering bitterness and grief bursts. Like this, the mysterious disease bursts out.

When the life threads of almost all humans are cut by the mysterious disease, the only way to survive will be uitong, for it contains the only medicine that will work at the time of gaebyeok: the Taeeulju Mantra.

Gim Gyeong-hak, Who Had an Audience with Sangjenim in Heaven

Gim Gyeong-hak, Who Had an Audience with Sangjenim in Heaven *Dojeon 3:122

1 When Gim Gyeong-hak was an Eastern Learning adherent, dedicated himself to a three-month meditation with the Sicheonjuju Mantra. 2 During this period, he had a dream in which he ascended to heaven and was granted an audience with Okhwang-Sangje.
3 One day, Sangjenim arrived at Gyeong-hak’s house and asked him, “Do you recall the best dream you ever had?”
4 Gyeong-hak spoke of the dream in which he had seen Sangjenim in heaven, and declared, “Teacher, I now realize Your appearance is exactly the same as His.”
5 Jeung-san Sangjenim then proclaimed in the presence of many of His disciples, “I am Okhwang-Sangje.”

Sangjenim’s dao is the dao of Jeung San Do, the dao of the true Lord of Heaven who incarnated into this world as a human. He was called Jeung-san Sangjenim, and He is the Ruling God of the Universe. One hundred and thirty-three years ago, on September 19, 1871, the Ruling God of the Universe came to this Eastern land, Korea.

Within the cosmic year presides the True and Absolute God―God the Ruler―who nurtures and enables humanity’s culmination. He is Ghang Jeung-san Sangjenim, who incarnated 133 years ago in the Eastern land of Joseon. He is Okhwang-Sangje, who is worshiped by Jeung San Do and who is the fountainhead of Jeung San Do. The True God is Jeung-san Sangjenim. Since His dao name is Jeung-san, His supreme dao is known as Jeung San Do.

The land of Jeung-san Sangjenim’s incarnation is Korea, but He is the God of all of humanity. He is Okhwang-Sangjenim for all of humanity. He is God, who will harvest the seeds of humanity in the coming times. He is God the Absolute, who reigns over all the principles of heaven, earth, and humanity.

Think Only of the Multitudes *Dojeon 8:66

1 “Do not lead a prodigal life of wine and lust; instead, follow your true nature and preserve a true mind.

2 Your deeds are like the stars in the night sky: when they finally become visible, all the world can see them with utter clarity.

3 People wish riches and renown for their descendants, but I urge you to refrain from doing so.

4 Abandon such selfish desires and think only of the multitudes, for our work is the work of bringing prosperity to all the world’s people.

5 All your brothers and sisters face calamity, so how can you not strive to save them? All people throughout the four seas are your kin.”

Sangjenim said, “At the coming of the time, heaven and earth shall strike down all but one person in ten ri, but should not some seeds of humanity be saved?” This is Sangjenim’s declaration that we must save many lives. Sangjenim’s lamentation is heart-wrenching. It would be unacceptable if you, as practitioners of His teachings, forget His words and seek only self-preservation.

In the midst of the innumerable disasters and mountains of problems that will come upon us, those who dedicate themselves to the work of spreading Jeung San Do’s teachings and of saving many people will attain a genuine achievement. This is the very thing that humans living in this era should accomplish as masters of their own destiny.

The Sangssireum(Ultimate Match) Shall End the Established Orde

The Sangssireum(Ultimate Match) Shall End the Established Orde *Dojeon 5:6

1 One day, Sangjenim declared, “The tides of the world shall be as those of a ssireum tournament. After the children’s match and youths’ match, the tournament shall be brought to an end with the sangssireum.”

2 Sangjenim drew on a sheet of paper a stroke like the center curve of the Taegeuk symbol and explained, “This is a three-eight line.

3 I shall place the center ring of the ssireum tournament on Joseon’s thirty-eighth parallel, and it is there that I shall launch the sangssireum of the world.

4 I shall found the Court of Judgment for All Nations in Joseon. When the ox enters the ssireum center ring, the tournament shall be brought to an end.”

Sangjenim predestined through His work of ssireum that world affairs would unfold with the children’s match, the youths’ match, and the sangssireum. (...) Both the children’s match and the youths’ match have come to an end, and now the sangssireum between the two Koreas is underway. Both South and North Korea are standing face to face. Even now, two immortals are contesting a match, two immortals are giving advice, and one is the host.

Sangssireum(“ultimate match”) is entwined with the emergence of a disease: the mysterious disease. In other words, the confrontation between the two Koreas will be concluded, but the whole situation will be settled not just on the level of human affairs. The cosmic transition of the Autumn Gaebyeok will trigger the ‘determination of the ultimate match,’ which will lead in turn to the mysterious disease, the last gaebyeok event.

Sangjenim’s Incarnation

Sangjenim’s Incarnation *Dojeon 1:10

1 In answer to the earnest pleas and prayers of the spirits of sages, buddhas, and bodhisattvas in heaven,

2 Sangjenim incarnated into the Eastern land, where a new era was to dawn, to deliver humans and spirits, who have been trapped in torment, by bringing to pass a new heaven and earth.

3 In the Hour of the Rat on September 19, the Year of the White Sheep (Year Sin-mi, DG 1, 1871), the eighth year of the reign of King Gojong, the 4204th year of the Year of Dangun, the 5768th year since the founding of Baedal, the 9068th year since the founding of Hwanguk,

4 Sangjenim incarnated into the world in Gaengmang-ri Village of Udeok-myeon Township in Gobu County, Jeolla-do Province.

At the time of the summer-autumn transition, when the cosmic summer gives way to the cosmic autumn, Okhwang-Sangje must inevitably, positively, absolutely, incarnate into this world. This destiny has been infallibly preordained. This is an absolute principle—even if heaven changes, this principle will not change.

Sangjenim incarnated into the world in 1871, and in Jeung San Do, we explain that this event marked the entry of the energy of cosmic autumn into human history. That is, Sangjenim—Ruler of the Three Realms, those of heaven, earth, and humanity—descended upon this world as a human being, and at the moment He entered human history, the cosmic autumn actually began.

I Am Heaven, Earth, Sun, and Moon *Dojeon 4:60

10 A disciple asked Sangjenim, “The sun ceased its motion and resumed again on Your orders. How can such a thing be?”
11 “Now that you have witnessed this for yourselves, strengthen your faith. The sun and moon move at My command.”
12 Another disciple asked, “But is it not nature’s principle for the sun to rise and set and for the moon to wax and wane?”
13 “The principle is of heaven, and heaven is of the principle; so it is that I do nothing out of subjective desire.

14 I am heaven, earth, sun, and moon.

15 Heaven and earth are My body, and the sun and moon are My eyes.”

명命 command; order; mandate
이치理致 principle; (natural) law

Sangjenim is the one who exists as one with the mind of heaven and earth. When he said, “I am heaven, earth, sun, and moon,” he meant, “I live as one with the mind of heaven and earth.”

Sangjenim Plants in Taejeon the Flag for the Founding of the Paradise of Immortality *Dojeon 5:106

1 Sangjenim one day proclaimed, “My ilkkun slumber in the Bean Field, awaiting the coming of the time.

2 I have planted in Taejeon the flag for the founding of the Later Heaven’s Paradise of Immortality.”

This Place Is the Hallowed Ground of the Emperor *Dojeon 5:234
10 I shall make Taejeon My home and bring about the union of humans and spirits. Taejeon shall hence become the new capital.”

太田 : Taejeon
Taejeon literally means “Great Field,” “Paramount Field,” or “Bean Field.” Taejeon is a major city in the central region of South Korea. Taejeon is the locus of pioneering the third stage of the destiny of Sangjenim’s dao.

The Entreaty of All the Ancient Spirits of Sages, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas *Dojeon 2:27

6 “While at the Maitreya Shrine, I bestowed upon Choe Su-un a heavenly mandate and spiritual inspiration to enable him to establish My boundless dao.

7 However, he failed to transcend the confines of Confucianism and reveal the true dharma, which would have laid a path to the way of spirits and a new civilization and eventually brought forth the true resplendence of My boundless dao.

8 “I therefore finally withdrew the heavenly mandate and spiritual inspiration from Choe Su-un in 1864, and in 1871, I incarnated into the world Myself.

9 I am the ‘Sangje’ revealed in Donggyeongdaejeon and in Su-un’s lyrics.”

崔水雲 (1824~1864) : Choe Su-un (=Choe Je-u)

Choe Su-un is the founder and head of Eastern Learning (Donghak), a popular religious and social movement of nineteenth-century Korea. He proclaimed the coming of the Later Heaven Gaebyeok and that Sangjenim would one day advent in Korea.
